On his trade label Lovell 'engages to take Likenesses in profile to reduce and copy old Shades or Sketches for Rings, Lockets &c, &c'. He also offers 'Mourning Rings & every article in the Jewellery Line'. No examples on ivory (which he would presumably have used for the jewellery pieces mentioned) are known to me; any which come to light would no doubt have been painted in the rather plain style of Lovell's profiles on plaster.
