Warren (McKechnie Section 1)

Recorded by Jackson (Dictionary), who mentions a cut profile, owned by Major Howell, executed by Warren, who, she writes, was working in 1832 from a gallery in Warwick known as the Victoria Gallery. The subject of the silhouette was a man looking left. Jackson describes the silhouette as 'slightly bronzed', but does not state whether it was in bust- or full- length. She mentions no trade labels; but presumably the piece bore the artist's name and address, either on a label or in an inscription.
