Recorded by Jackson (Dictionary), who had seen a signed silhouette dated 1833. Foskett lists a number of miniature painters named Cooper, but only one of them could possibly have been the profilist. This was Gibbons Cooper, known to have been working at 15 George Street, New Road, St Pancras, London, in 1834. Jackson describes the silhouette as painted with bronzed detail and a red-brown base. Presumably bust-length, it might have resembled the work of Foster or Campbell. It was signed in a manner similar to theirs: 'Cooper/1833'.
